Associate or Full Professor in Directing and Acting
with professional experience in directing and/or acting for both stage and film/television

The Department of Theatre at the University of California, Riverside invites applications from distinguished directors and/or actors with recognized national or international reputations for an associate or full professor position with a preferred start date of March 1, 2014, open to negotiation. Successful candidates will hold an MFA, PhD, or equivalent experience, have directed for and/or acted in a significant body of work (e.g., network or major cable television shows, distributed films, LORT or similarly, nationally recognized theatres) and be able to demonstrate a history of strong teaching experience at university level, including a range of acting techniques. Interest and experience in teaching any of the following is a plus: directing, theatre history, dramatic literature, African American Theatre, Latino/a Theatre, Asian Theatre, Women in Theatre and theory. Duties will include undergraduate and graduate courses, mentoring and supervision of theses and/or capstone projects such as production work, directing and stage management, and service in the Theatre department and MFA in Creative Writing for the Performing Arts program.
